From those humble beginnings, RK's relentless pursuit of perfection led him to the prestigious One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, where he honed his skills as a resident sushi chef alongside Michelin-starred culinary maestros. His culinary prowess continued to flourish in Sydney, where he became the head chef of the sushi and sashimi station at Flying Fish under celebrity chef Peter Kuruvita.
In 2011, RK embraced a new challenge at Sokyo, contributing to the original team and playing a pivotal role in shaping the menu concept. Armed with invaluable experiences from Flying Fish and Sokyo, RK fulfilled his dream in September 2016 by opening RK SAN in Surry Hills, the heart of Sydney's food scene.
